Noah gets a meeting with Sprint’s Hero

It’s brief, but hopefully enough to tide you over until a review unit shows up at Noah’s door. Maybe if I camp in the bushes outside of his house, I can nab it without him knowing. Or maybe I’ll just hire a singing telegram to distract him.

Best Android phone (Although the Euro version is much hotter looking) & there for one of the top 3 phones in the world. To bad Sprint is to crappy in my area. No HTC Hero on Sprint for me.

I’m really curious about the “with Google” branding. What can Sprint Hero owners expect as far as updates to Android are concerned and how will they be handled? Over the air? Downloads from HTC? Donut is about to be released and this phone will require an update as soon as it is released I bet. I fear purchasing this handset and being stuck with the cupcake rom for another 6 months to a year after release while other handsets are using the latest and greatest from Google.

When you get your review unit, can you please test the loading and running of PDANet. I’m hearing that Sprint will be disabling rooting and tethering. I’m assuming that they will be disabling the Mobile Network Sharing option. I hoping that I can still load PDAnet to tether to my netbook.

Another request for the full review–can you show us how Google Street View works on the phone? Thanks!

Did I see the Sprint Navigation icon on there?
If so then.. YES!! This was the only thing that was questionable for me. :)
