I am a long-time fan of RTM. I was turned on to the to-do/task list app when a plugin poped up for my Linux dock, Avant Window Navigator (see screenshot below). I immediately fell in love because I was, at that moment, looking for a practical method for syncing my various electronic to-do lists. (cont.)
I was using the web interface on my phone but was pretty happy. RTM grew rapidly, and support for Blackberry, WinMo, iPhone/iTouch, Gmail, Twitter, and Gears eventually fell into place. The one area that I was missing official RTM support was on my G1. I tried various workarounds. I fiddled with more apps than I cared to know about on a quest for the best Android RTM experience.
When Astrid finally achieved RTM support, I was thrilled, but Astrid has so many features I don’t need that it feels a bit cluttered to me. But now, after a year of waiting, RTM has an official app for the G1. You’ll need a pro membership ($25 a year) to go beyond the two week trial period, but it’s worth it for me. Simple adding, appropriate notifications, and an easy cross-platform workday. I’m in sync again, baby! (cont.)
Thanks to Androinica for the heads up. I had lost hope! And with that, Astrid is dethroned as my fave productivity app. Sorry, Google. Search the Android Market for “Remember the Milk.”
