800 MHz Samsung Moment coming to Sprint
Beginning November first, $179 will get you an 800 MHz processor, 320 x 480 3.2″ AMOLED display, 3.2 MP cam with auto-focus and video, Bluetooth 2.0, support for up to 32 Gigs of storage, a 3.5 mm audio jack, accelerometer, GPS, visual voice mail, and Exchange support. Alright, $179 after $50 in instant savings (what is that about?) and a $100 mail-in rebate (I’m looking to you for relief, Best Buy).
So the power under the hood is a welcome boost, and 3.5 mm headphone jacks are all too rare, and AMOLED displays are sloppy delicious… but what I’m most excited about here is the staggered keyboard. “Down with the grid phones || they hurt my thumb bones!” O.K., that was stupid, but instead of editing it out, I’m going tell you that I should have edited it out. Here’s the phone:

I’m in a predicament! I don’t know to choose this or the Hero. They both have their pros and cons! I just want to know if it’s capacitative and have multitouch capability, if that’s an optical trackpad and if it comes with the normal Android UI.
i’m in the same boat as you are. I been waiting for a good phone now, but i like what HTC did to enhance android even though i like slide qwerty. I like that there are 2 good choices to choose from. here is a link to sprints site:

it doesnt mention about capacitive multi-touch for the moment though.

I to am in the same predicament! I have the Hero on pre-order and will/should get it Friday but now that I see this phone with the bumped up CPU speed I am not so sure.
I wonder if you can take the UI from the Hero and put it on the Moment? Would be a good phone that much better.
Well in a sense, Sense UI is basically a theme. They were able to do it for the Iphone, I’m sure you can do it for the Moment. I will DEFINITELY be doing that if I get the Moment. Here’s the link to the iphone with Sense UI: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UGkzrjs-Ui0
