great article. Love your sense of humor. Thankfully, there are more and more DRM-free digital music outlets though we're still a ways off from seeing the same in movies.

I appreciate your article as I had posted in a forum at a different website about this problem. I collect Bluray movies and many of them come with Digital Copies. I was trying to copy over Hancock and The Dark Knight from Itunes but when I fired up the Droid it would not play these videos even though it accepts mp4 files. I am pissed to be honest with you. I spent quite a bit of money on my Bluray collection and would like to be able to utilize all of the benefits. Instead what I have learned is for Sony movies.. IE.. Hancock you need a psp... and for other titles like Dark Knight you are limited to itunes or windows media player. I love how these movies advertise the "free" digital copy but neglect to tell you that you can not play them on all of your devices. Now I have to bootleg a movie I have already paid for.

I am so glad you wrote this article. As to Chuck's comment about do you think that people deeply integrated with iTunes will have anything other than the iPhone. Well the answer to that is yes. I have had ipods long before they thought of making it a phone. Now I have an Android device and I see the possibilties of only carting around one thing. I have been looking into some of the grey area ideas on how to manage this but I am glad to hear that I may not have to.

Nice article, I like how the site is starting to touch on issues most others won't go near either because they don't think it's sexy enough or whatever other reason.

Regarding the subject, do you think that people deeply integrated with iTunes will have anything other than the iPhone? One main reason I switched to Droid from iPhone was because I dislike itunes and I don't purchase music from it. So when I brought my music into it, my album art and file properties were never correct, very annoying. With a phone like Droid, I can now just drag and drop my music files and everything converts beautifully with album art and all.
