Google Nav on the G1

Serious tinkerers can get the Droid exclusive, Google Navigation, right now. The rest of us can wait for what will likely be a short period of time before some clever chef makes Google Nav available to everyone with a rooted G1, via cooked ROM. Seriously though, aren’t all G1′s rooted now?

    Will this navigation be available on the Hero or any other android device once 2.0 gets running on other phones besides the V-Droid? I'm wondering this because for some reason, Sprint Nav works completely fine on my Instinct, yet when I had the Pre it almost never worked (and I know Pre isn't android based, just a comparison). I'm just wondering because sometimes Sprint Nav acts like an asswipe, and I'll definitely need another navigation system so I don't get lost. Thanks.

    it works pretty good….as long as xda keeps hookin the g1 up….i dont think ima be needing another phone :D
