Motorola Droid at WalMart for $188
What is it about the number 88 that WalMart finds so fascinating? Is it significant in numerology? Does it guarantee prosperity? Maybe it’s a tip o’ the hat to the Freemason component of Sam Walton’s local Elk’s Lodge. Whatever the case, it seems you can expect each major device to drop at at a WalMart near you, cheaper than it can be had anywhere else… and with an 88 at the end.
This is an actual in-store contract price, without rebate. Android and Me is also reporting that WalMart (and BestBuy) will sell the phone outright for $500 (and 88 cents?) Droid goes on sale tomorrow.

motorola DROID has no font size adjustment for any email, text or any typing at all! (only browser)wow. scary, all this hype and development and basic mistakes like this.what else will be found. bought one this morning and didn't even leave the store and had to have them take it back. this will severly hurt the droid. 4 returns alone while i was in the store. pleanty of other problems but this is big. wait for the next version (with a bigger,raised key keyboard and better slide out) gotta figure the PRE cant get to verizon fast enough. michael
