Here are my impressions about Samsung Behold II phone:
Well equipped with multimedia facilities, use of AMOLED screen gives quite sharp and brighter colors. Use of android on this phone is arguably is the highlight.
There are many positive features about this phone, but a few
potential pitfalls for power users as well , Tech Wiz is not that great. The major concern is about the virtual keyboard using it in portrait made causes difficulties, so the only option left is using it in landscape mode.

Are you able to toggle the touch-wiz UI on and off and just run the standard build of Android?

DefiantBeast, settling for mediocrity is not good in this market, especially when said phone is more expensive than phones that are more capable than this. Android 2.0 takes care of most of its media issues with apps. You can find an app to replace just about every native android app. Samsung has gimmicky apps with a gimmicky UI, and I bet everyone who buys this phone ends up replacing the native apps with apps from the market that they've been using on past Android phones and are updated frequently. If this phone were priced acceptably ($100-$150) then I wouldn't have anything negative to say about it.

I still think the Moment is Samsung's best Android phone at the..er.. moment. Thankfully they didn't implement the cube into this phone. In reality it's nothing more than a glorified, albeit limited, menu screen.... except its more complicated to navigate through. I hope Sammy's next gen phones are more impressive as I'm still a big fan of their products.

will the behold II support android 2.0?

and

This is a general question about allot of the phones coming out nowadays.

Why have they stopped coming with cases that have belt clips?

This phone is lame. Are you for real Samsung? This is the best you can do following HTC Sense UI and Droid a cheesy whirling cube? Not only that but on 1.5 and $229.99??!! Really? You really want people to buy this?? And the form factor for the phone looks like some industrial design drop out worked on it...which is why he dropped out. Another lame phone for TMo.

I can see why some would be disappointed w the behold 2but its not a disappointment, here we have an android phone that can now offer multimedia aspects that android has been lacking in(Google learn something from samsung and give the os some more eye candy). The camera functions on this phone are long over due and are to me drool worthy not to mention that the camera can take a pic in the dark(you hear that htc??) thanks to the flash. While some are saying that the cube is gimmicky there not looking deep enough. Yes it is a bit gimicky but what you have to realize is that the cube does offer alot of media ui options borrowed from htc touch flo, such as the pic flicking with pics movies and mp3s as well as save functions w youtube. The behold is a media friendly phone that android was in need of its just doesnt pack the wow because it doesnt have 2.0 yet, but its got me looking at my mytouch with disdain
