I agree with you Bren, as a UK Hero owner myself I can't say I am too impressed with this phone.

You do realise that HTC are skinning android 2.0 for us Hero owners right now don't you? We will get an even better eclair experience soon, because it will be 2.0 with HTC sense poured over the top!

I use Better Keyboard and the Hero theme (not at all like the Hero keyboard.) The orientation is locked when the phone is locked.

Great reviews! I was wondering what virtual keyboard app you used to replace the default and if the orientation of the screen locks when the screen is locked. I'm currently a Storm 1 user and will probably make the jump to the droid as I can't stand the slow typing/scrolling and my phone being in landscape mode when I pull it out of my pocket.

Not bad, but I really don't understand all the hype about this phone. The hype is acting like this phone is revolutionary, 'and the next step' HTC Hero does all these things and more - AND does them a lot better AND a lot prettier (a lot cooler looking).

I mean, this phone is good and the more decent android phones out there the better - but (sorry if I sound like a Hero-vangelist), The Hero is just miles better, and has been for months now.
