More Google Nexus One Images

UPDATE – 12/14: reports say the phone will hit both non-carrier retail locations and T-Mobile on January 5th. There is also some buzz floating about concerning the price. This kind of thing – rebate rumors, different price tags, etc. – is likely to go on all day. I’ll see how things shake out and post on what we think we know tomorrow.

———-ORIGINAL POST———-

Engadget has just posted the best Nexus One images to date, along with a few bits of information. The most interesting of which, to me, is that the grid icon at the bottom of the screen in the first image below brings up preview images of all home screens (seen exposed in the second photo, after the break). This phone is running on T-Mobile, running 2.1, and includes Google Goggles.

That would be weak sauce if T-Mo were to get this awesome phone, they were already the first and only company to have android phones in the states for over a year, doesn't mean they should get this phone at all. Their network crashes on a daily lol. Either Sprint or Verizon, we all know it's not going to AT&T.

Yeah they say its just going to be an unlocked phone that isn't going to be for any specific carrier and that you can only buy it straight from Google.

It is fitting that Google will give Tmobile first take on the Nexus one...bcz the trio Google/Htc/Tmobile teamed up to bring us the first Android phone the G1. It makes sense for the three Amigos to team up again for this first Google only branded phone. I am pleased Google did not loose sight of who stood w/ them right from the get go. U deserve it Magenta...hope all the chatter is true. Well up next where is the Magenta love for the Nokia N900 another superb smartphone w/ Tmobile 3G. Two phones w/ my name tattooed on them..the N900 and either the Nexus one or Htc Bravo

That'll never happen. T-mobile has too weak a network to handle that many phones. I know how you feel though. I'm a sprint customer and I have the same hopes for sprint. lol. But alas that won't happen either.

Discovered some photo's taken by the Nexus One on Picassa: http://picasaweb.google.nl/lh/view?q=nexus+one&uname=softwarejeff&psc=G&filter=1# The same quality :( as my hero.

This phone seems awesome!...I hope that it will be compatible with Verizon's Network, My contract has been up with Verizon, but I was waiting to see if there was going to be something like this to grab soon on the shelves!...Please keep the information coming as you get it!...THANKS!

how reputable is the update info?

Hello, Beautiful. still 4.3" screen? a little bit shame there is optical mouse for such hottie

I read y'day that it was a QR code... very like Google to throw that on the back. ;)

isnt this ONLY going to be sold by GOOGLE as an unlocked GSM phone?

That's not an equivalent to the card system on the webos. it looks more like a pager which shows what's on your different android 'desktops'

I really want this phone! Now I'm most interested in knowing the price and whether these new UI changes are some custom job just for this phone or part of the new "Google experience" in Android 2.1.

Because I'm on Tmobile and I loved the way they have handled the promotion of their Android phones I think T-mobile should be the official carrier of all things Android and HTC be the only one to make Android phones but it will never happen for so many reason. But it's nice to dream!

I know what my next phone will be

I think what's going to happen is that the "Nexus One" is just a developer device and the consumer model will be the Passion (regardless of what carrier you have it on, although I think they'll have to explain you'll either need a GSM or CDMA model) and the Bravo for Europe (and/or other countries, I'm not sure how that works haha).

That's the same thing I thought :D I think it's a step in the right direction for sure. I feel the best thing WebOS has going for it is the card management system and having something like that implemented on Android would be awesome (especially when most people who buy this phone are going to multitask constantly since it's running on Snapdragon).

What's the little guy-droid carrying in the last picture ?? Hmmmmm.....perhaps it's a cover-up for the name ?

The multi-tasking system(Or what i think may be the multi-tasking system) looks a lot like the Palm Pre or Palm Pixi. Anyone notice this also?

I'm with Sprint so I'd naturally want it to be on Sprint. At the moment (no pun intended) we only have the Moment and the Hero, of course in the next year we'll see a flood of newer android devices and I'd love for something this awesome looking to come to Sprint.

It BETTER be TMobile or I will have a FIT!!!! Hope so man.

Hey, who did you bribe to get these great pictures????? 8) Beautiful eye candy. I wanna Santa Claus, pleaseee, I been good boy!!!!

Looks rather interesting to say the least, has there been any information on what carrier it might come to when it's officially released? I know it's early and all but sometimes miracles happen.
