Nexus One rooted. Wait, what?
That’s right, folks. Well-known hacker stericson offers up the image below, as seen in a MoDaCo forum thread. And check out a quote from another poster on the simplicity of the hack for end users:
Superboot is a boot.img that when flashed, will root your device the first time you boot (installing su and the superuser APK). No need to flash the system partition, no need to use ADB, no messing with the contents of your data partition, no overwriting the shipped ROM on your device, just flash the boot image using the instructions below and you’re done!
Who needs a cooked ROM when you can have root on the hottest Android in the world? Well, I have a feeling that question will be answered before too long. Sense, anyone?

My understanding is that the phone was already technically rooted and accessible via ADB…except apps couldn't use root access. This flash just allows us to let apps take advantage of root access. Still a great thing to have regardless. :)
For me, its a definitely with the Sense. It would be beautiful on the N1, just beautiful!
