My first impression of Google’s N1 Dock? It’s pretty sexy and functional, though I anticipate reader complaints about the fact that it doesn’t allow the user to watch movies in landscape or transmit data. I haven’t even used it overnight yet, so I’ll reserve further judgment for a few days.
I guess I'll need to find a different protection case if I'm going to get a dock...

Overnight shipping IS NOT the only option. 2nd day air is $5 and Fedex Ground is free.

John, it looks like you missed one important feature which almost makes the dock worth the $55. At about 2:32 in the video you'll notice the documentation mention "Pairing" which allows you to transmit music via Bluetooth to the dock. So i can sit back on the couch and transmit music to my stereo. I first saw this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5HsG4xCVb2s

it's kind of a kip off if you think about it $45 plus $10 shipping
So when you say that it cannot transmit data, does that mean that I couldn't set it in the dock and have it play music from Pandora (or Slacker etc.) through the connected speakers?

It means you can't connect the dock to your computer and transfer data. You can still stream Pandora through your connected speakers.
