Co-CEO of Motorola, Sanjay Jha, has given the mobile world another big dose of Android joy by officially announcing the Motorola Backflip and letting everyone know the Droid / Cliq will see Android 2.1 as soon as possible.
AT&T users should get ready (but not too ready) for what could possibly be their very first Android phone, the Motorola Backflip. We don’t have a heaping pile of info on the Backflip, but we do know that it will use MotoBlur UI, come with wifi, a 5MP camera, and sports that oh-so-crazy physical appearance that only a mother could love. If you need a little something to hold you over, head to Engadget where they have a Backflip hands on post with some good pictures and a short but sweet video for your viewing pleasure.
Other than the Backflip and the announcement of Flash 10.1 hitting the Droid (which we already got a taste of on the Nexus One), Motorola has also graced us with the comfort of knowing that the Cliq and Droid will both live to see Android 2.1. What else could you ask for?
