My Sprint Hero works without the SD card. Really important since my card failed one day. It made it so some functions, like taking a picture won't work. I used the Hero 1/2 the day before fixing the problem.I really agree with the physical buttons. I used a Samsung Moment for almost 2 months and found myself re-pushing the capacitive buttons. I think it really is subjective though because CNET actually quoted the buttons on the ERIS as an improvement to the Sprint Hero even though they themselves commented that they had multiple touches. I don't get it? They actually took a half star away from the Hero because they re-evaluated the Hero after the Eris? From my understanding the only real improvement (aside from the capacitive keys?) is the proximity sensor and they actually gave it a smaller battery, so shorten the battery life. How is that an improvement? Maybe they are biased toward Verizon and their over priced data.I would really consider buying a Nexus if it ran on Sprint. I see that it is going to Verizon, hopefully somewhere down the road they will open it up to Sprint too.TivoNutDC

andrew if you do find any reality to this about the mytouch users upgrading in software terms to nexus one please do pst it on droiddog.com(your website i think)
so andrew i decided to post my comment here instead of youtube cause i though oh God he has to much views (4,000 something) and probably not gonnah answer my question soo getting to the point well i just got the mytouch like 2 months ago and iwas really happy with it until the nexus one happened i looked it up on the news paper and i said to myself this is the samething has the mytouch no difference and i saw the nexus one trailer and got dissapointed and i was just thinking is there anyway that mytouch users can upgrade to the nexus one without having to buy a nexus one cause like you said the mytouch has better hardware controls oohh and is there anyway to get such a badasss annimated background please reply to me at exskater.jcf@gmail.com
ya i realize that, I really wish i could have given you a 3G comparison. Go yell at T-Mobile for me please lol.
i would have liked to but couldnt get my hands on a droid. i kinda did this one pretty quick since i was selling my Mytouch so i could buy the N1, i had to ship off the MT3G today unfortunately
Very interesting video. I was surprised to see that the MyTouch 3G has a few advantages over the Nexus One!
It would be great to see a review vs. a relevant phone like the iPhone 3Gs. Putting against old hardware like the mytouch isn't really fair...
The speedtest you conducted isn't really accurate man. You're connected to your own wifi network and both phones were running at the same time, sharing bandwidth. Doesn't mean N1 is necessarily faster, just that you have a Wireless N router.
The unlocked N1 works fine on WI-Fi without a SIM card. I used mine the first day on my WI-FI without putting my card in. When there is no cell signal though, you should put the phone in airplane mode if you are only using WI-FI because it goes into standby mode and drains the battery faster. Also, I personally like the touch buttons on the N1 way better than any push buttons.
i think you should have used like the htc hero droid eris or the droid itself the mytouch isint in the league i understand that You were doing t-mobile phones but still
I know I asked about a comparison to thy myTouch. Thanks for putting this up! Makes me want a Nexus One even more...
You have put the latest CyanogenMod on the MyTouch for the Browser comparaison.Since CM 4.2.10, the ROM include the Eclair Browser.

I have a MyTouch With ROM v2.0.2.6 and running android 2.2.Modded through CyanogenMod.its pretty crazy!
