This post will be updated to include new videos as I complete them. I will tweet about it when a new video is published, so be sure to follow me on Twitter. I will be doing a separate post on the Nexus One camera that will include still and video samples. I may do the same for media, depending on interest.

Part 1: HTC keyboard, speech-to-text, landscape, how much memory, multi-touch, bog it down, dial by letter.

Part 2: Which home replacements currently work with Nexus One?

Part 3: screen glare, Home++, and what keyboard replacements work with Nexus One?

Part 4: Oleophobic?, console emulators, mutli-touch games, other games. Also see The AndroidHD video with 50 games on the Droid.

Thank you for those vids! I have the Magic, and for dial-by-letter you press the dial button and start typing the letters in the virtual 10-keypad, which narrows your search. Hitting the right arrow opens up the contact, where you can text, e-mail etc.The same with StarContact (free). Also, there is FastCall (free) where you press one letter, and it opens up your contact list to the names starting with that letter. Then, there is Quickdroid and Phonesearch (both free), that search through your contacts, aps, bookmarks etc as you type. There are many more, but those two are my favorites. Smart-dialing is very important to me (hence the rant). If these options are available for 1.5, than most if not all, must be available for NexusOne!

Android currently has the poorest multitouch implementation of all the multitouch-capable smartphone OSes on the market today. The OS is aware of two X and two Y coordinates but doesn't necessarily know which X goes with which Y. Notice on pong multitouch it works fine at first until his fingers cross, then the right finger starts controlling the left paddle and vice-versa. Apparently this was a hardware limitation on the G1/myTouch, but as far as I know it's still unknown if the Nexus One hardware behaves the same way or if now the Android touchscreen driver is the limitation now.The Android implementation of multitouch is only reliable for pinching gestures at this point. Download the Multitouch Visualizer on the market to see how Android views your multitouch inputs.

OMG I love the Slide Type!

I know you can put an email signature in your gmail on the N1 but is there a way to do it in the regular email application? I have not been able to find that option and I hope Google fixes that soon.

I just wanted to say that since your first video review you have become alot more professional and I look forward to watching your vids now .So, keep up the good work and I now have both apps on my Droid now Thanks. If you could make a video of more apps that you personally have that would be great.

Thanks for the questions. I'll get to those questions before the series is over. Sorry for the delay. :)

hi, i commented on the other page where you said that you where ready for our N1 Questions.. and i don't know if my comment got your attention..! i asked about the the battery life of the phone, how long does it last?i also asked about the quality of the case that comes with the phone.. + (new question) quality of sound of headphones.any lead on the release date for europe?that's all from me! thanks in advance:)

You forgot to try Home++. It works fantastic on the n1. Super fast and stable.

Does the Nexus One support push for multiple gmail and/or google apps for you domain accounts?

One thing of note...your very last point on the first video was that the Nexus one did not have the feature where when you type on the 10 key it shows you a list of contacts as you type, while yes that's true, you CAN do just that by simply pressing the search button from the home screen and using the Quick search to start searching for contact. As you type it narrows down your contacts.

To bog it down I would suggest installing something like the Starfield Live Wallpaper and put a lot of stars on, this app and a few others are the only thing that I've seen that slighty slow this beast down. Hope this helps and also you did not mention that the HTC Sense keyboard does not fit all the way across the screen in landscape.

I have a question about the Nexus One. Where the hell is mine? But seriously, nice video with good info. Keep them coming. Android for life. Google and their customer service however can go f#** themselves. Still waiting for my phone.

O.K., I'll make a video about my favorites. Definitely a good idea. Thanks.

Great suggestion :)

I think it would be cool to get a list of all the apps you have installed. As a newcomer to Android, I'd love to check out all the apps you think are worth installing.

Would you consider this more worth the money over the Acer Liquid (that is available in Europe currently), I am located in Sweden and currently the Nexus One is not available for purchase, so I wonder if I should wait for the Nexus One or just buy the Liquid? What would be the pros and cons with waiting for the Nexus One?
