Do we have a date on a VZW Nexus?

thumb_450_Picture 1Hours after word of a CDMA Nexus passing through the FCC, NeoWin tells us that “according to sources familiar with the matter,” Nexus One will launch on Verizon’s network on March 23rd, and pricing will be competitive. With the 2.1 update headed for Motorola’s Droid, I’d say that Big Red is about to take Android over the top. Get ready for more local news appearances, Nexus. I suppose that the 03/23 date will be confirmed or slightly adjusted by Verizon at CTIA next month.

While I agree that there have been "plenty of posts and comments by those in the media" and others such as users like myself, what is needed is one or more of the tech and phone blogs or one of the major news outlets to take GOOGLE to task and directly ask them when these problems are going to be fixed. GOOGLE will not answer, even on their own forums.

I think that is a rather unfair statement to make, I have seen plenty of posts and comments by those in the media mentioning the issues that people are having with their Nexus ones. It seems that the problem is with how the phone is being manufactured and sold. Being a Google branded and sold device, but built by HTC there is the issue of who is responsible for customer service complaints about the device, it seems that this was not addressed appropriately by Google before they decided to sell a phone direct to the public, but I think that as time goes along, and if they sell devices in the future in the manner we will see an improvement in the customer service for the devices.

Buyers Beware. The existing version is loaded with problems that GOOGLE is ignoring and refuses to fix. Worst customer service I have ever had. The media is also ignoring the problems and refuses to report on them. They are probably afraid of losing the GOOGLE ad revenue. If you have not done so already, check out the GOOGLE help forums.

htc incredible by far man it mite be a short or long wait but its gona be worth it

Simple answer: The first one that comes out.

Since it's on Verizon, it means it's not compatible with AT&t's network at all unfortunately. Verizon is CDMA and AT&T is GSM.The N1 for T-Mo will work on AT&T though, but will only get Edge, no 3G.

What about all the droid owners still waiting on 2.1? They have stock and it's still taking months to get an update. Not much of a convincing argument against getting a phone with sense UI. Either way it still takes months to get an update to your OS.

If this new phone is Verizon 3G capable, then isn't it also AT&T 3G capable? If so, sign me up.

That depends on what you want. I mean, do you like the Sense UI enough to forgo any future Android OS updates for many months after they are released? With the N1 strait from Google, you are more than likely going to get updates before anybody else. That's why I'm glad to have the N1 but I know that's not such an important thing for many other people.

Ok then, the question is....Nexus One or HTC Incredible? In other words... HTC Sense or Stock?
