HTC Desire ROM headed for thousands of Nexi

Is that the plural of Nexus? Well, it should be. Whatever the case, a lot of you geeks are about to get happy. The ROM from the Sense-packing Desire (available on Amazon for €419) has been leaked and, while not yet available for the masses, it is being worked on as I type. I just installed the HTC IME and I feel, as I am with all Sense-related software, satisfied.

Until now, I haven’t found much motivation for rooting my Nexus One. The N1 is fast, I can take screenshots already, and I don’t really need Apps2SD. I’m also very happy with Home++. I would like Nandroid backups, but can live without them. Despite my overall contentedness everything changed today, and it’s only my schedule preventing me from taking the plunge as soon as a ROM is released. It can’t be far off though…the time when my Nexus will become more Desirable.

Here we go: Let the never-ending cycle of flashing and re-flashing commence!
