HTC Scorpion: Carries a 1.5 GHz processor, our hearts and minds

I think it’s safe to say that a month is the official length of time Android phones can stay as alpha dogs. We’re still enjoying all the goodness the newly released Nexus One has. However, Moore’s Law doesn’t wait for anybody. This is even clearer in the Android ecosystem, which every month has a new phone that makes the rest look like calculators. Without further ado, I give you the HTC Scorpion (or Olympian): the phone we’ll be dreaming about for the next six months. The guys over at AndroidSPIN have come across a leaked build file; a little digging reveals the following details:

  • 1.5 GHz CPU (Yowza!!)
  • WiMAX
  • Android 2.2 (Froyo)

The Nexus One looks so last month now doesn’t it? None of this is in any way confirmed, and could very well be fake, but since when does that keep Android fanatics from daydreaming about new phones. By the way, kudos to HTC for pumping out awesome Android phones faster than we can digest them. We’ll keep our sights fixed on anything even remotely related to a scorpion and will report on it as fast as our keyboards tolerate.

Yeah. So. Keyboard? Carrier? Anyone? xD

I agree i LOVE MY NEXUS 1, and other phones may be faster but people often forget with this phone as well as supersonic that arent google flagship phones so no matter what we will be updated in everyway 1st. So alot of people braggin ant its Specs being netter than our NEXUS ONE, remember flagship phone means alot

There's always a Master (NexusOne) and an Apprentice (Scorpion). Basically, there is always a better phone that is in development (Jedi Training). ALWAYS. Pretty soon the Scorpion will be the Master and some other crazy ass Android will be the Apprentice.

Yeah I don't think this will be out any time soon, the Nexus One is still the best phone you can buy.

Wow!Well, at least us peoples with the Nexus one will still have one powerful phone. That was the kicker that made me decide to shell out for it.

6 months till it's out? Well, it doesn't put a crimp in my plans to get a Nexus One next week now does it? And yes, mad props to HTC for pumping out new phones as fast as we can buy them - same with Motorola.
