Hey Liam,I'm not sure how long it's on per day, but I use it a lot, so it's lit up quite often. I have my brightness at about 3/4 of the way up, and have everything but bluetooth on (wifi is off when i don't need it). That just sounds odd that it would take more battery when the settings are for low battery.. I'm not sure what's going on there.
Carlos, how long is your display on during the day and what percentage of your battery is it draining. I have mine at like 1/3 brightness 3g, GPS, twitter chat and Facebook apps all running in the background and those all take about 10% total battery life but my display at low settings and barely on, takes anywhere from 65 to 70% of my battery, do you have any idea what is going on?Thanks,LiamP.S. great vid :)

Hi there! how did you get the display on the battery status to go down? im using the setcpu, power manager full, and using cyanogenmod 5053 and when i go to Settings > about phone > battery use > my display is at 71%. And i did the same exact setup as you did on the video. Hope to hear your thoughts on this, Thanks!
HiDon't know if its related. But if i kill the Dialer process with process manager it asks me to enter my pin code. I have a rooted n1 with the latest Cyanogen ROM. I have installed marketenabler because I live in norway and i am currently faking a T-mobile network. Do you have any idea what the problem could be? Or should the dialer app always be open? Thanks.
Hello there,I'm wondering, how did you change the battery icon? Looks pretty sick the one you have there.
i have a droid but could i get my battery in the corner to look like that if you could pleaase comment
Great suggestions, and much more informative than the typical advice for extending battery life (that is, allowing the battery to run out completely before recharging it). Thanks for the video.
I found the article on here about overclocking, not sure I'm going to go for it though, this thing is already flying since I rooted.
Carlos, I made the leap. It's a little unnerving seeing the little unlock image at the boot screen, but oh well, hopefully I never need the warranty.I do have a question that comes up in your video, how do you overclock to 1.113gHz? I rooted, went with Cyanogen's latest and got the three apps mentioned in this video, just trying to figure out how to get the most out of this hardware. Thanks man.
Hey Carlos, thanks for vids like this. Can you guys do a browser comparison video? I don't think anyone out there knows about xScope browser for Android which I've found to be way better than everything else out there. So much so that people are really missing out if their not using it. Dolphin is terrible, Opera Mini 5 is fast but messes up rendering on so many pages. xScope is faster than stock and has tabs, file download, YouTube download, and a built in file manager. Was hoping you guys could check it out and compare it to other browsers so everyone knows what's up. The Dev for xScope is also very responsive and answers questions and such.
I appreciate the support! :)I am using Cyanogen's latest ROM (5.0.4.1). And rooting is pretty darn fun on the Nexus!
Hey Carlos, I'm new to the site but your posts are by far my favorite, thanks for the great tips! What ROM are you running now, or at least in this video?I haven't rooted my N1 yet but had rooted my myTouch that I had before this, I just haven't felt the need yet. Now I'm starting to question if I should, the overclocking alone is pretty impressive.
Great post! Can you please actually list out those apps in the post? It gets annoying to keep on re-loading the video to see them...
It's in the theme I'm using. It's called Kspec.
