CTIA: HTC Supersonic is the EVO 4G
What could be one of the most significant, if not monstrous, Androids to date will be launching this Summer on Sprint’s 4G network. The device, which looks more than a little bit like HTC’s HD2, is the first to utilize the carrier’s WiMAX to keep you in touch. To be more specific, calls will be made via CDMA and data will transfer via EV-DO / WiMAX. We’re looking at a 1GHz processor, 480 x 800 4.3″ LCD, 1GB of on board memory (!) and 512MB of RAM. It’s got an 8 MP primary cam (front-facing secondary), HDMI out, and runs Android 2.1. No word on phone or plan pricing just yet, but Engadget got their hands on this one a step ahead of everyone else and captured the encounter on video. Second vid after the break:

wow man i don'tbelieve it sprint may actually have a comeback man this phone will crush all the competition, i think its safe to say first android phone to be launched in the US with a front facing camera , biggest screen size on a cell phone on a US carrier. man, this phone is hot.
i wish this phone was for att!!!
this looks like the coolest phone in the world!
but anyways, that guy cant text for his life!
Why cant they just end it with a qwerty and add support for both cdma and gsm
i know its capable but whats stopping phone developers shesh.
UGGGHH Why did i have to buy the samsung moment… This phone is so AWESOME!!
“Obviously, the idea for that is…” what? I know video calling is one of the foremost uses, but has that traditionally been a feature of Sprint's network? Skype? Here's hoping…
I tell you ppl..this is what makes Apple(iphone) loose sleep at night. Htc is cranking out these MEGA PHONES every where u look…so u see why they are fretting so so much. This phone is the HD2 on steroids and folks it is an Android phone. Unlike the HD2 which i must say is a monster of a device as well but it is a windows phone. I hope they will have a GSM version of this device…HTC sure makes it difficult to decide which of their phones to get…they are all just soo good…Nexus one, Htc HD2, Htc Desire, now this Htc Supersonic/ EVO 4G…and more in the pipeline..Choices galore
All I can say is WOW…this phone might be the one to beat by end of this year. Just have a few concerns…battery life and the OS…Windows Mobile…really? I have my doubts on the OS…
This phone is BEAST!!! HTC wins. They fail in only one region – WHERES THE GSM? =[
