Sony Ericsson X10: unboxing and hands on

x10Well I know I’m not the only one who’s been waiting impatiently for this one. Does the phone feel as nice as it looks? Does the UX perform as smoothly and quickly as it does in SE’s promo videos? So far, I’m impressed. I have noticed a couple of small detractors in Sony Ericsson’s sex machine but I’ve only been using it for a couple of hours. There is plenty more X10 content to come on DroidDog.

one of the greatest phone i have ever used...super phone..but the touch need to be better like the iphone..

WIth all the phones coming out, its not enough for a phone to be good in order to stay afloat. It needs to have something special that it brings to the table.

yo! nice little review there!i was wondering if you can switch off the sony UI and go back to the stock android look on the phone like you can on the hero?(settings/applications/manage applications/sony UI*/clear defaults)*or whatever it's called

When you take a look at the sticker under the battery, where does it say the phone was built? I have a C905a made in China right now and the build quality is not up to the same standard that my w810i was built with. Hopefully the Xperia isn't the same way?

Hi, I was wondering whether it's not too "difficult" when you get a call, because of the lack of buttons to accept a call and such. And I also wondered if you don't mess with the touchscreen while calling, due to the contact between your cheek and the screen.

just some constructive criticism, it would probibly be a good idea to never abbreviate "Sony Ericssson" in this case in the banner... "SE X10"...

I have 2 questions,1st Does it come with the Android Market place,..or we are stuck with SonyEricssons Android Marketplace.2nd Does the applications get installed on the Memory Stick or the 1GB internal Memory.

Its going to be a great phone. I´m getting mine in two weeks. The rumour is that the guys at SE is working very hard to get 2.5 OTA before fall. The issues with the lagg has been solved with new firmware, timescape however could still "lagg" because when you open the program it downloads all uppdates for your social networks. This is more of an issue if you have a slow 3G or no WIFI connection.

Slow, laggy, choppy... whatever you wanna call it, I feel like this is the biggest anti climax I've ever experienced. Just a horrid and unnecessary skin on android that just screams of defects and unsolid user experience. A flagship thats filled with holes and sinking fast.
