Archos 5 gets paid Market Apps
Archos recently released an update to their Archos 5 Internet Tablet. The most substantial feature in the update, is the ability to purchase and install paid Market apps. In my opinion, this is a HUGE win for the device. Users can now install premium apps, that were once inaccessible. While this doesn’t make the Archos 5 an “iPad killer”, it does bring us hope for the upcoming Archos devices.
Do you have an Archos 5? What do you think?

The Android Market is only accessible through a “hack” (you have to extract Google's apps from the SDK or download them pre-packaged) and absolutely not supported by Archos. A prior firmware update tried to make this sort of hacks impossible so it is not completely impossible that they're trying to do it again. It is advised not to buy an Archos for this reason only or you'll face a bitter disappointment…
