In the wee hours of the morning, Google announced that they have acquired LabPixies. The blog post announcing the acquisition talks about the work that LabPixies has done with iGoogle and OpenSocial gadgets. Here’s a snippet from the post:
One of the first developers to create gadgets for iGoogle was Labpixies. Over the years, we worked closely together on a variety of projects, including the launch of a number of global OpenSocial based gadgets. Recently, we decided that we could do more if we were part of the same team, and as such, we’re thrilled to announce the acquisition of Labpixies.
What’s NOT mentioned are the other products that LabPixies has developed. They offer social games that integrate with Facebook, MySpace and My Yahoo, to name a few. They ALSO offer a handful of games for iPhone and our lil, green, buddy; Android.
I’m very curious to see what happens with these other products. Are you a fan of the LabPixies games? I’m going to try them out now.
