HTC DROID Incredible, unboxed

htc_incredible_press_shot-1-smallI have been waiting for this one for some time, and I’m very happy to say that I have an Incredible in my possession. My first impressions are developing rapidly but I want to wait for a few days before I make any jugements. For more information on this phone right now, check out Breon Nagy’s full written review.

Love everything about the phone except for the fact that the soft key lights do not turn of in a dimly lit environment. They are very bright and if you are watching a video or surfing the web they are very distracting and hard on the eyes. So far, I have not been able to find an app that can turn them off. Has anyone else been bothered by this?

I have the Incredible and an iPhone 3GS. I also had the iphone 3G, a Plam Pre, Blackberry Storm, and the Droid. This new HTC Incredible is more incredible than...... the iPhone! I said it and it is true. I like everyone else thought the iPhone was our gift from the stars and Apple has been blessed with special touch screen technology. Well HTC figured it out and maybe that's why Apple is suing HTC. The incredible is like so much better. Higher quality video, speech to text, MOVING wallpapers that can beat to the music in the background. Everything is linked together in such a natural way. You look up a contacts phone number in your contacts and while there see the callers call log, read every email, text message and facebook updates. Its like the Incredible says, "hey you want to know about John?" "Well did you know this, and this, and remember this, He called you yesterday, and he just posted this on facebook." When i go to my calendar and see my appoints for the next day, Incredible say, "hey did you know their calling for rain tomorrow?", as it shows me the weather. The iPhone looks dated, sad but its soooo true. I can't wait for the next iPhone. It better have video chat and some real features cause things are heating up and we are now going to see some really neat things in mobile tech as these guys one up each other.

Anyone noticed that the Droid Incredible doesn't come with the amazon mp3 store on it for some reason?

I have it and its awesome but the tip of the "h" part of the htc logo on the back got caught on my pants and broke off. Any one else have a problem cause its really ugly to look at.

The Phone is amazing! I have it and I had the Droid before and their is a very big difference in performance between the two! AMAZING!

the weather animation is from HTC sense it is on all HTC phones with sense like the HD2 even if it has winmo on it yuck LOL
