yeah im gonna have to agree to. T-Mobile was the leader of Android then they fell behind cuz they thought they were in the spotlight having the first android phone. Fame only lasts so long. i have to admit i mean i do like the mytouch and g1 but tmobile is starting to dry up tryna push these phones the extra mile for a little more juice you know. Tmobile is and always will be the first Android producer but if they dont step up with their game they are gonna get left behind and with AT&T you can tell they are especially falling behind becuz of the backflip and they need to step up too. Tmobile step up or you gonna ge left behind AT&T; the last carrier to catch up with android. lol

i would actually use this phone! this phone is so awesome! im all for android and i have to say especially moving from a blackberry with a full qwerty i thought about an android phone with a qwerty but they didnt have what i especially wanted until now! when this phone comes out i will be upgrading like a mofo! lol

agreed with every word of this, 100%. My contract is up in September. if they don't have anything decent by then, i'm going to Spring for the EVO.

I'll be more then glad to complain then...I came to T-Mo because Android launched on their network. One would think that they would try and be leaders and bring the best Android handsets to market yet they continue to drop the ball every time. Maybe T-Mo didn't think Android would blow-up the way it did, (if that's true they're daft, I and a whole slew of others knew Android would be big) and now it seems like they're playing catch-up. All other networks are bringing high-end Android devices non-stop and T-Mo seems to still be looking for it's next "sidekick". I've had the G1 pretty much since launch and my two-year contract will be up soon enough and my only option so far is the $530 Nexus One because even after the 2yr I don't qualify for the subsidized price. I don't want to spend that money on a phone, at least up front. Plus, they're at least 2-3 better spec'd phones since the Nexus One came out and T-Mo doesn't have them and it doesn't seem like they will. Don't get me wrong, I love my G1 with the T-Mo service but my phone, hacked and all, is showing it's age now. It's time for an upgrade and all T-Mo is offering are revamped MT3G's...WTF!!!!

I couldn't agree more with Pencil, Think I might even break the contract if Sprint and the HTC EVO want to earn my business. TMO as stated above, was the Android leader, but has quickly fallen behind in the "superphone" race. Sprint and Verizon have taken the lead. Damnit Tmobile, and they don't want to bend at all...only thing I can say is if this mytouch slide has a 1ghz and the bells and whistles of these superphones by all means count me in, but if not, why are they bothering. I suppose the masses are uneducated consumers and a lot of people don't give a shit what mhz or ghz processor is in the phone, as long as it looks pretty & shiny and can make & receive calls, send txt and look at facebook, guess that is all that matters.

It seems odd to me that this phone was cleared by the FCC quite a while ago but is just now being built... Also find it strange why they're making another MyTouch when they are making all these "superphones". Not complaining though :)
