myTouch Slide is startin’ to look real official like

my-touch-slide

Well what have we here? Some official looking pictures of the oh-so-elusive myTouch slide? Why yes. Yes we do… but that’s not all folks. Not only do we have the picture above (via Cell Phone Signal), TmoNews has got their hands on two sets of photos. The first set features a red myTouch, and the second set features the handset in black. I’m really diggin’ the one in black, especially if it comes with that 800MHZ ARM11 processor everyone’s talking about. Need a refresher on the rest of the unconfirmed specs?

1300mAHr Battery * MicroSD memory cardslot is accessible without battery removal. It is a push to insert and push to remove design. * Optical trackpad with an integrated push button. * Camera with LED flash. * 3.5 mm Headset Jack * Slide-out 4 row QWERTY keyboard * 320×48o screen resolution. * ARM11 processor

Looking pretty good so far, eh? Don’t get me wrong, it could be better. Like oh say if it ran Sense 2.1, that could be nice. Oh wait, it does. At least that’s the story the pictures tell. If the myTouch Slide really ships running Sense 2.1, this device will be nothing to scoff at. I still can’t help but think this is in no way a true G1 replacement, but I don’t think it’s supposed to be. If everything keeps running in the direction it has been, the MTS will fill a void a lot of Android users have been looking to fill for awhile now.

Looking really good. If it is fast and performs well with little to no slowdown, this might be a phone to reckon with in a lot of peoples eyes. Reallu digging it, but it needs to be fast and fluid. The screen size is kind of annoying me though. Looks really small.

here is the problem with this phone, simply, its not the Nexus One. All of us G1 owners, our contracts are up Octoberish…mine in December, and could grab some form of partial upgrade to the Nexus. I’ve posted on some other topics, and have said the thing, all of these super phones are emerging, Tmobile is loosing the Android Community where capatalism is prevailing with Verizon. I can’t stand Verizon for what it’s worth. In any case, the Mytouch Slide doesn’t get my vote.
