Something big for MT3G Slide on June 19th
With employee pre-sales beginning June 1st, rolling launches starting on June 2nd, and demo units arriving on June 7th, no one can say for sure what T-Mobile might have in mind for their new premiere handset on June 19th. Of course, that doesn’t mean that we aren’t making guesses.
Will the myTouch 3G Slide, which features a 3.4″ HVGA (480 X 320) display, see Android 2.2 on that day? Will there be some huge promo, such as a BOGO for 24 hours? safe to say than if your gonna buy the slide just get it june 2nd dont wait until the 19th
I was planning on getting the slide on june 2, but I’m a little uneasy about all of this secret june 19th activity. I’m thinking it can only be two things. #1. A update to froyo. #2. A price drop. I would really hate if it’s #2 because that’s past the 14 day return policy.
Why do you say that? All signs would point to June 19th being Slide related, but who really knows what it will be, eh?
I have a good feeling it may be about the mytouch slide update to froyo.

I am going to predict an early upgrade for G1 users, the early adopters who bought oct/nov 08 and have to wait till oct/nov. This would be a good opportunity to make these customers happy and retained.
“THIS WILL BE BIG” is an oddly vague statement. Not surprising for a carrier statement, but sill vague.
Went to look at the 3G Slide today a TMO sales rep had beta testing here at a Tampa area store.
Looked nice and all but he did say something that perked my ears up a bit.
He said TMO will be selling the Nexus One in the next couple months !
This makes me very happy !

Soft launch for the MT3G Slide is 02JUN10 but the grand launch is 17-19JUN10.
