Windows 3.1 on Android

Well here’s a hack that is good for little more than a giggle and some bragging rights. At least to the average user, that is. I suppose installing Windows 3.1 serves some sort of academic purpose for the consummate hacker but I can’t think of one practical reason to do this to your phone. Nevertheless, here is the step-by-step guide for sadists.

Shawn McHenry, who accomplished the feat using the DOSBox emulator, says of this blasphemy:

“I realized, Hey, Windows can be installed VIA Dos. So I went on google & youtube and looked up “Windows on Android” and what do you know, No results. However, I saw a lot of videos about Windows 95, NT, 3.1, etc on a Nokia. So I thought, I want to try and put it on Android. It appears its never been done before. So I gave it a shot…”

He goes on to say that, “It’s completely useless, but really damn cool.”

That he pulled it of is cool indeed, but the end result… well, judge for yourselves.
