Dell Streak available unlocked now; $680

Oh Dell Streak, you sure are magnificent. Your 5″ screen, 1ghz processor, and front facing camera. And now it’s all available directly through Dell (Europe) for $680 US. If you are willing to spend that much, you get the 16GB version with bands UMTS 2100 / 900 MHz and GSM / EDGE 1900 / 1800 / 900 / 850 MHz. If you really can’t wait for the Streak to get a little more official in the US, you can check out Euro Dell’s website here for ordering details. Is anyone gonna grab one? Or are you gonna wait for a carrier deal state-side?

ok, i have a question??? is the us version going to lack some features like they usually do???
Hi Dustin
Will this work with T-mobile USA UMTS bands ? or it will drop to Edge like Iphone ?
Plz advise.
Where did you get $550 US from? It looks like its 449 pounds to me…. Equates to $678 at the moment…
T-Mobile 3G runs on 900 MHz. You should be fine with this version.
I used google conversion. I'll have to check it out…
T-Mobile runs on 1700/2100
Probably not.

EDIT:
The conversion does indeed come out to around $680. Thanks for pointing that out.
T-Mobile runs on 1700/2100, so no it will not work on T-Mobile 3G. But, there was a version with T-Mo AWS that passed through the FCC. So at some point, there should be one.
Probably not.
