Galaxy S torn apart, rebuilt

Samsung_Galaxy_SWhat is it about dismantling gadgets that people find so appealing? Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy it just as much as you do, but I have no idea why. I understand that these demonstrations become very useful right after you spill a Coke on your shiny new device, or you crack the screen and want to buy spare parts on ebay and do the repairs yourself. But I’m pretty sure the primary purpose for these videos – which have dedicated websites, newsgroups, and various online lists – is entertainment. Maybe that’s why I can’t help but notice the little incidental details. Whatever floats your boat, nerds.

Tools required: little hex (?) screwdriver thingy, fingernails of a vampire, and a soundtrack worthy of an underground psycho thriller gorefest movie.
