Google Navigation and Voice Search reach around the globe

Google mobile announced via their blog today that Google Maps with navigation (v. 4.2) is now available in handful of new countries for users running 1.6 and up. Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, and Switzerland have been tested. And what an enviable position that tester has! Of course I envision the process as driving around and taking pictures without logging or recreating bugs.

Also launching today is Google Voice Search support for German, French, Spanish, and Italian. So, navigating around the new locales will be a cinch for locals!
