Root and then unroot your HTC Legend
The Unlockr has a reputation for one-click hacks and thanks to a gift (loaner?) from a US company with a few Legends on hand, the phone has been rooted…then unrooted, by the popular site. So if you have the cash to spare for an unlocked Legend (484.99 for Silver, $529.99 for super sexy red), a few minutes, and the stones/nerve to put your new toy in potential peril, check out the rooting guide here.
According to the Unlockr, “The only reason to unroot a phone is if you have to send it back in for warranty purposes.” If that applies to you and your Legend, click here.

I'm pretty sure it's the opening of the bootloader (which is required if you want to root your phone) that voids the warranty. Not whether it's rooted or not?
