Samsung Galaxy S coming to T-Mo as Vibrant

We’ve seen this coming for some time: the Galaxy S will be launching on T-Mobile this summer, very likely on July 21st. But what we didn’t know, until now, is what it would be called. AT&T’s Galaxy S has been branded Captivate, and T-Mobile’s will be… Vibrant.

A few days after news of the phone gliding through the FCC with T-Mobile US frequency band support, CellPhoneSignal got a hold of some images (one below) depicting Magenta’s flavor of Sammy’s social butterfly, which is expected to hit all four major carriers.

The Vibrant has a 5 MP cam with HD video capture, a 4″ Super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, and 16GB of on board memory.

Hi JohnDo you know if Vibrant has front facing camera ? or is it removed in tmo version ?FFC is present in original I9000 Galaxy S.

so basically is a nexis one with a sweet screen and graphic proses-er with no physical flash Wat a rip off t-mobile you suck!!!!!!! i want my front facing camera back !

f the fcc there the ones that approve the phone and also f t-mobile for f ing up the baddest phone to ever come out.

I have not held the Galaxy S yet. I didn't go to I/O. Hopefully, I'll have a test unit.

Yes, it was a mistake. Thanks.

Where is the front-facing camera?

Wheres the front facing camera?:(

really? funny, apple has a phone that looks very similiar. but even they are changing with the times, squared flat edges are in....old rounded apple look-a-like...come on, tmo, i see people jumping off already. i am on the fence about this one. an iphone called "vibrant". insides of it sound great but the shell...seeeen it!

Hey John, Did you handle the Samsung Galaxy S at Google I/O? Sorry if you posted or answered the question I have but how is the fit and finish of the Galaxy S? Is it comparable to HTC and Apple quality? Or does it lag? Just curious. Thanks and great job as usual.

i think you mean ATT samsung captivate not sprint =X

I thought AT&T's Galaxy S was called the Captivate, not Sprint's.
