Well I have had my Droid X for 3 days now and I have had no issues with the screen at all. Only thing I have noticed is that the battery life is not very long at all but for me that is normal with all smartphones I have had. So just like those phones, I have done the same thing with the X and that is buy a couple extra batteries and put them in when I need to.

Unlike other owners my DX did not just have a bad screen. The whole phone would shut down after less than 5 minutes of use, on a full charge. I have deduced that it has something to do with a thermometer in the device seeing as how it runs when the device is less that 75 degree F but will shut down at 84 degrees F. Also if it did shut down I would be lucky to make it past the first Motorola screen let alone the recovery image or even the actually OS screen. But even though my device has shut me out Verizon has not. When at the store they told me there was nothing I could do but wait and come back in a month when supplies of the device were replenished. So I call customer service. Less than 5 minutes on the line with a agent and I have a replacement ordered and slated to arrive 2 days from the phone call. WOW. Crazy things are happening with this device. Lets see how the rest of the roller coaster ride is.

I having same issue the bottom of screen or 1/3rd of the screen does not work. When I was in verizon trying to get a new phone a little behind me was having the same issue oddly enough. Seems to me this going to turn to be a big problem for motorola.
