Wow! I like the way you think. However, one thing to keep in mind is that Android OS is open core and not open source. Another thing is that, the hardware it ships with can include it's proprietary technologies. Though, including technologies which annoy hackers and root experts earns the company a hell lot of bad karma. They need to understand this to stay in the business. Bringing out a killer phone is not all that matters. You need to show some user love also!!

Motorola was quick to respond. eFuse does offer some level of protection. Though, the rumor of bricking phones is what I am highlighting here..

Actually, mobilecrunch and Boygeniusreports confused everyone bringing out two contradictory reports. I have re-reported what they said and how the rumor is spreading. However, moments after I completed this article, Motorola officially denied that eFuse can brick phones.

so after Motorola takes that anti hacking position, they confirm that the “e-fuse” will not brick your phone due to a tampered boot loader…. you would think even if its just a rumor, they would let it keep on spreading
