Earlier this year, LG announced that they would be releasing a whole slew of Android devices in 2010, somewhere around 20. So far, that number is looking a little high. Enter LG’s Optimus series. LG has officially announced 3 new Android devices ranging from nice, to wow.
First up, the Optimus One. A smaller med-range device featuring Android 2.2 as the big draw.
Next, we have the Optimus chic. A fashion-forward Android device that will also ship with 2.2.
Finally, we see the Optimus Z. The big daddy of the bunch. 3.8″ display, HD video, HDMI out, TI OMAP3630 processor, and an update to Android 2.2… yes please.
LG has a nice reputation with several US carriers so don’t be surprised if you see these devices in your favorite store someday. Until then, I leave you with this quote as food for thought.
Beyond smartphones, LG will be introducing its first tablet device later this year. Running on the Android Platform, LG’s tablet will deliver vastly superior performance than other similar devices currently on the market while still managing to be thinner and lighter than competing devices.
