You see that device way in the back in that picture there? That’s the Motorola Charm. And yes, it appears to be free… at some point. The corporate mobile technology sector is always looking for a reason to discount a handset: Christmas, Father’s Day, Valentine’s Day, and back to school time. TmoNews has their hands on some signage from a corporate T-Mo store that lists several devices free for back to school time including the Moto Charm. So what’s the most interesting thing about this sign? Well we already knew that the charm was coming. We kinda thought it would be cheap… We just didn’t know exactly what it would be called. It was a toss up between the Charm, Basil, or something new we haven’t even heard of. If this sign is right, we have our name, and our time-frame. Won’t be long now.

Thanks to TmoNews, we now have a few specs on the Charm, along with a newer picture. The specs sound like this:

Android 2.1 … packs a 600mhz processor with 512 ROM and 512 RAM. What we originally thought was a 3” screen turns out to be 2.8”

Doesn’t sound half bad. TmoNews is also saying that it will come in at a very low price point and will be billed as a lower range Android device. Does that sweeten the deal enough for ya?
