How cool is integration between your phone and computer? Ice cold; that’s how cool. Google is just inching into this territory, but I have a strong feeling that they’ve got a multitude of ideas in store. For now, third-party devs are on top of it. lifehacker shows us in the demonstration video below how the combination of a free Android application and a Chrome browser plugin facilitate the fastest, easiest method of sharing URLs between devices: Android2Cloud.
Don’t email yourself addresses that you want to check out later at home. Why bother with shared bookmarks when you want to check out 5 pages on the big screen that caught your eye on the bus? Android2Cloud lets you open a web page on your computer with a few simple taps on your phone. You’ll need the Chrome extension, an Android app (scan the QR code at the bottom of this post), and a Google account ID to be entered into each for linking. You will need to grant access.
Once everything is set up and you’re viewing a webpage you want to share from your Android, just hit menu, more, share, then Android2Cloud. The page will pop up in your Chrome browser almost instantly. Cool! I can’t wait to see what little treasures the big G has in mind for Android/Chrome OS integration.
