AT&T shutting down BETA Streaks?

Just in case you haven’t noticed, the Dell Streak is everywhere. It’s been available in the UK, and AT&T has had beta test units floating around the states to make sure everything is in tip-top shape for some time now. Unfortunately, according to some talk going on at MoDaCo forums, some of those beta Streaks are being blocked by none other than Ma Bell herself. Apparently, it’s not just all IMEIs associated with the Streak. Some of those beta testers got a little money hungry and sold their Streak, and at least one buyer has come forward to say their device is still working fine.
Before anyone gets upset over this, it may be a good sign. AT&T was supposed to launch the 5 inch wonder sometime last month (which is only 3 days ago… but none-the-less…). It may be just a hunch, but I’d guess that making sure no one out there already owning a Streak messes with AT&T’s release plans… well that may just be part of some big deal launch. Time is ticking for the Dell to make their quasi-tablet entrance into the Android game, and the longer they wait, the less appealing that slab seems.

Dell Stated that the streak testers could do with these devices whatever they wanted after the Beta Test was over. This is ridiculous. I'd love a class action lawsuit against AT&T and Dell over this. If people wanted to sell the streaks, they could. It never stated anything differently in the contracts signed by the beta testers.
