Bing makes it’s way to Verizon branded devices

Microsoft announced today the official release of their Bing app for Android OS. The only problem is that it’s only available for Verizon devices (it shouldn’t take long to get that out of the way). The Bing search app for Android is very similar to the desktop version in that everyday you get a new featured picture, plus the ability to look through previous featured pics. The app also features endless scrolling search with the ability to “swipe through image previews straight to the host site.” Best of all, Bing will work with Android’s speech to text, even allowing you to use Bing Maps navigation. Microsoft really pulled out all the stops today.

If you’re using a Verizon branded device, don’t forget to download now. If you do, be sure to let us know what you think. You know what they say, first impressions are everything.

Who the hell would wanna use Microsoft products if they don't have to? The whole point of android is it is open source, focus toward Google and other fun apps. Not someone is anti-open source and pro monopoly. That always have more bugs, flaws and security exploits than you can count and more than there competitors software.

I think it's interesting to see that Bing is making its way to Android devices, manufactured by Google. I do think Bing has great potential though. Still, it's interesting the Verizon would alter devices they're marketing as "with Google" and put Bing on them. My guess is that it's a way for Verizon to stand out. I've used the app myself and I love the design, Bing has really showed how search engines can be stylish and very functional. I'm glad to see Microsoft putting themselves out there in all directions! On an unrelated note, the post's title should probably read "its way to Verizon branded devices," rather than "it's." Just pointing that out.

Only a matter of time before it shows up on my Sprint Hero. Wonder why they didn't just debut it for all phones at once like every other app.
