The pace at which Android tablets are being announced (as opposed to launched) is dizzying, and picking out which renders and prototypes will actually make it to virtual shelves or brick-and-mortar shops is largely a matter of luck. So, while Hanspree’s Android tablet is absolutely delicious on paper and PDF, I’m going to reserve my giddy excitement for when I’ve actually held one of these Tegra 2-powered potential beasts. The specs are, however, tantalizing:
ARM a9 dual-core 1GHz processor, Android 2.2 with Flash 10.1, 3,500mAh battery targeted to deliver 8 hours of 1080p video playback, microHDMI with 1080p out, Accelerometer, 1024 X 600 capacitive touch screen, and 16GB of internal storage. All of that will run you around $500, if and when the unit is released.
