Notion Ink Adam update

Hey there Adam, long time no see. For quite some time now, the Notion Ink Adam has been hotly anticipated. It has taken well more than long enough for pricing information and a release window, but hey, better late than never. The newest word on the web is that the Notion Ink Adam will start to be manufactured and submitted to the FCC as early as the beginning of November. At that point, it’s all on the FCC how long the device will take to hit retail. It’s possible that it won’t be until CES 2011, but even that’s not solid.

How much do you have to pay for one? For Wifi only and 3G capable LCD display models, it will run you $399, and $449 respectively. The Pixel QI version of the device comes in at a little more; WiFi only $449, 3G version $498. So now that we know some more release info and the pricing of the Adam, would you pick one up? If the tablet is everything it’s been made out to be, then it might just be hard to pass up.

If they did, it would sell by the boatload.

This device sounds like the perfect marriage of eReader and tablet. If Motorola or Verizon was doing this device, I can see the commericial now. iDon't allow you to read outside but the Notion Ink Adam does.Perhaps they can sell this on Verizon as the DroidPad
