Samsung launches the Galaxy U

Samsung launched a new phone for LG U+ (LG Telecom in Korea) today, and it’s all about the U. As in, “‘Unique grip design, ‘Ultimate’ display, ‘Utilitarian’ apps and ‘Ubiquitous’ features like Wi-Fi,” as explained by Samsung’s Korean product page. It’s called the Samsung Galaxy U, model number SHW-M130L.

The device, which will sell for roughly $680 USD, features a 3.7″, 480 X 800 AMOLED+ display; 1GHz processor, 802.11b/g/n networking; 1500mAh battery; and a 5MP cam that captures video at 720p. It has 8GB of internal memory (plus microSD) and runs Android 2.1 at launch. It will be available in Mirror Black and Neutral White. Find more information over at Samsung’s Korean product page.
