DROID X to see Froyo tomorrow

At exactly 12PM EST, it would be advisable for DROID X users to head towards Settings > About > System updates on their DROID X, because you should have a tasty frozen treat waiting for you. According to a leaked document, starting tomorrow DX users will finally get their Froyo. Not only that, but a handful of other handy upgrades:

+ Improved Web browsing with pre-installed Adobe® Flash® Player
10.1 for Android.TM
+ Easily switch between the eight most recent applications.
+ Enhanced browser performance for faster loading of JavaScript
heavy pages.
+ A screen that works for you and your apps.
 With Android 2.2, you can rotate your screen 270 degrees—
either to the left or to the right when moving from portrait to
landscape mode—to work with apps in more directions.
+ Automatic app updates.
 Always have the latest versions of the applications you’ve
downloaded with automatically updated Android MarketTM
apps. And you can choose to store applications in your device’s
memory or on a storage card for more capacity.
+ Take advantage of the preloaded VZ Navigator® application.
 Get visual and audible directions to a destination, locate
businesses and other places in an area, get a map of a location,
bookmark favorites and recent searches, and even share
Droid X
locations with others.
+ Overall improvements for Google Maps performance
on the Droid X.
+ Improved connectivity to Exchange server and Exchange
ActiveSync® email notifications.
+ Easily edit MMS messages after attaching video files.
+ Manage message history from Contact application.
+ Transition from Wi-Fi and 3G without losing data connection.
+ Improved 3G Mobile Hotspot application.

So you have to admit, it hasn’t been too bad a wait. Right? Good luck waiting patiently until the update arrives, and be sure to check back with us tomorrow to see how everything went.

I'm having problems with my browser ever since the update. Pages stop working and i can't go back or change the site. It's pretty frustrating. And my text messages are in a locked order and it's annoying b/c i have to scroll through to go to the conversation i want rather than them being in order by date. -_- C'MON Froyo

hey guys just got my froyo today at 615 am sept 22!!!!!

Froyo is available right now. i downloaded it about 20 minutes ago....the contact icons are different, flashplayer (of course), heptic feedback is not as vibrant, battery manager shows how much battery is left and you can turn off data with a timer while you sleep to conserve battery (not needed if you have "JuiceDefender"), also the unlock and volume toggle motion soft keys are a little different and instead of killing the volume, the phone switches to vibrate mode. So far i love the update. it takes about 10 minutes to complete. I advise to turn off any task killers or battery savers before hand to make sure the update isn't intterupted. THE WAIT IS FINALLY OVER!!!!!!!!!! :D

you have to be joking me and the vibrant doesnt even have it yet.... well good luck to all of us who went with samsung. that will never happen again

After midnight I did the settings > about phone > system updates > check for updates and it was there, downloaded and I am now officially running FROYO!!! YAY!!! I suggest everyone else do the manual check, too... =D

Got it 9pm AZ time. Nothing less than awesome!
