LG Optimus for T-Mobile outed, questions ensue

Remember that Tmo inventory leak awhile back that showed a device by the name of “LG Optimus T” coming soon? Well we may just know more about it:

As you can see from the picture above, the device doesn’t sound too shabby. “With Google”, 3 colors, Froyo, 3.2″ screen, 3.2MP camera, 1500mAh battery, multi-touch, and WiFi calling. Wait… what? Yeah, according to the leaked document, WiFi calling…

Before you get yourself all worked up, consider the facts. GigaOm (which is usually a pretty accurate source) has said that they’ve heard UMA will be coming to BlackBerrys and the E73 alone. What’s more, these kind of leaks have been half-on half-off before. Example: The Motorola Charm. One of the original Charm leaks said UMALite WiFi calling was going to be included. Well as we know now, that wasn’t true. Everything else in the leak was correct, but not the UMA part. So what should you take away from this? Just don’t get your hopes up. In the meantime, feel free to ponder the possible.

Doesn't UMA USE your minutes? This says make WiFi calls WITHOUT using your minutes. Probably something like Skype.

no UMA does not use your minutes, UMA is basically wifi calling. It uses your wifi at home as a cell tower.

I will have to check mytouch hd to see if that's included or just a LG feature for now... if it's accurate.
