Nielsen mobile app report says Android fans tap ads

The AppNation conference is underway in San Francisco right now and we’re sure to hear some interesting news come from the event. Artem from Android Police is on hand and has made available a mobile apps whitepaper (.pdf download) by media research group, Nielsen. While many statistics are presented and explained, one of the more notable, for developers, is the rate at which Android users respond to ads. At 33%, we lead the pack in advertizing response, making Android that much more appealing for developers. Windows Mobile came in second place with iPhone users in third. Of course we’re talking percentages of ad impressions resulting in clicks or taps here, so the actual number of ad responses would shake the rankings up a bit. Nevertheless, interesting data:
