Gaming on Android has seen some rapid development rather quickly, as can be expected of a booming platform. We’ve seen ports from iOS games, small “Flash-style” minigames, and the usual classics like chess.
Spectral Souls: Resurrection of the Ethereal Empires, however, is a full-featured, graphically and sonically rich game being built for the Android OS. The title is available for PS2, PS3, PSP, and Xbox360, but the attention that’s being paid to its development on Android is worthy of all gamers’ interest.
Before we got any further, here is the video the devs posted on Android Forums:
One of the developers shared this with the forum:
The game will be as deep and hard as one could expect from a Final Fantasy Tactics on mobile if it was existing, this is really a big RPG game packed with lot of graphics for a mere total of 1GB data so be sure to have some space left on your SDCARD
About the soundtrack, that is be cause it is not finished yet and it is missing the Sound Effect, at the end the balance will be different, the game has more than 50 original quality musics, so it will be anything but boring , we will have also cut-scene videos (not yet implemented on that preview).
Yes, the game has an extensive “synthetize” system for weapons and skills, and you can upgrade them along your journey, you can play also with different characters and even swap from 3 different armies on the main map, the game is very deep and packed with lot of drama & plot
From a personal point of view, I think this sucks. I need my train and bus time to catch up on emails, get some writing done, and generally be productive: that’s why I enjoy having an Android phone and, soon, a tablet. But with games like this around, I’m going to be combining spells and fighting bosses instead.
Kidding aside, I can’t wait to try this game, and hope it’s successful to reward all the effort and creativity that’s going into it. Stay tuned for more details.
