It’s been “coming soon” for a while, but Verizon has finally started sending out Android 2.2, or Froyo, updates for the DROID X as promised yesterday. If you’ve forgotten all the great things about this device, take a look at the reviews in text or in video form.
The update also includes Flash 10.1, which I usually think is more talked about than significant. But on the DROID X’ large screen, watching web video would be more enjoyable than on, say, the DROID 2.
The update is just under 70 MB, so if you’re around a charger, try leaving it on WiFi for a while. (I believe the update has to silently download in the background before Android will notify you about it at all, but please correct me on this if I’m wrong.)
