Earlier today, we received word that Motorola is looking for first come first serve (along with some other pre-reqs) beta testers for 2.1 on the Cliq. Sure enough, like clockwork the Motorola Owners’ Forums has posted a message containing the following:
“Motorola and T-Mobile are happy to announce a trial release of the 2.1 (Éclair) software upgrade for CLIQ, before it is officially released to all customers. We are recruiting 2,000 CLIQ owners to test and provide feedback on the upgrade process and software experience.
If you’re a CLIQ owner and you’re interested in testing the 2.1 software, please fill out this short registration form.
This registration period will be open until we receive our limit of qualified applicants.
Please note that registering will not guarantee you’ll be among those testing the 2.1 software. Testers will be chosen on a first-come; first-served basis, and on your registration responses. “
Better than nothing right? The good news here is that you may have time to still sign up and get involved. And well, the other good news is that if you miss the 2,000 user limit, the official update is coming soon. If you do happen to sign up and get accepted, don’t forget to share your experience in the comments below.
