Original myTouch 3G Froyo update being rolled out now


The promised Android 2.2 update for the myTouch 3G is being rolled out now, with many users already reached and the rest getting it by the end of the month.

As stated previously, owners of the slightly newer myTouch 3.5 mm, Fender, and Slide won’t be getting Froyo this time around. Details concerning those devices are supposedly coming soon.

If you’re in possession of a myTouch 3G (like the winner of our Giveaway) get to updatin’ and enjoy all the 2.2 goodness.

This is so frustrating! Everytime I need to update an app or download something from the market, I have to uninstall the market update because it isn't compatible with 1.6.... so lame. As much as I love my android, if they continue to stall, I'll be getting a different type of phone.

Calm down!!haah. You would think that since we have been waiting for the update for what seems like a year, people wouldn't exactly care whether or not it comes this week or next... idk. I gave up on it and got a Vibrant though, but i'm still excited to see it coming finally.

i got my froyo but the vibrant i have is still much better..... i mean yes, froyo is an improvement to mymouch phone but if you still use as you primary phone ithink you would still need an upgrade
