You may have seen a ton of coverage on both these devices from our very own John Walton here at DroidDog, but you still can’t say no to a good ol’ fashion Dogfight.
Aaron from Phonedog has two of the best QWERTY packin’ Androids around and is pitting them together to see who reigns supreme. It’s the Sprint Samsung Epic 4G VS T-Mobile HTC G2 with HSPA+, in a knock down, drag out, winner take all battle… or something like that. Without further ado, enjoy:

I agree fatboy97. The background screen differences does give a bit more "pop" to the appearance. Overall, decent reviews on both devices.
The reason the g2 is faster is because of stock 2.2 android. Put touchwiz 2.1 and see how fast that next generation 800 mhz processor is.
I would have liked it if you'd have put the same background image on both devices just to see the super amoled screen... I'm sure the Samsung would have won, but that octopus shoot did not show up very well at all. If you really need an imaged sized for each I'd be glad to help.
so the only real thing the G2 has over the epic is froyo speeds, which will hopefully be coming in the next month to Epic
G2 by a landslide. I work at best buy mobile and I get to play with pretty much all the hot phones that come out at work. And using the Epic is not as friendly as the G2. But that my opinion.

Its quite funny when people run the Quadrant benchmark and don't seem to notice the frames per second counter during the 2d and 3d tests. The Galaxy S was over double the frames per second of the G2 in those tests... the final score is really misleading as far as I am concerned. Both great phones, but clearly the GPU in the Galaxy S is still better than Qualicoms new generation.
